CoopWorks development has now been migrated to SourceForge.net. This platform is the largest open source software repository in the world, and popular with open source developers. CoopWorks as the first truly open open source project in Kenya, will attract world-wide support of from highly qualified and experienced developers.
The Kenyan Minister for Cooperative Development Joseph Nyaga and the Finnish Ambassador Ms Heli Sirve flagged off CoopWorks at Meru Central Dairy Co-operative Union Ltd, 27 September 2008. Meru Central is the largest dairy farmers cooperative in East Africa, with over 40,000 members.
The second group of CoopWorks Service Providers has been certified in Kenyaregistered. They are based in Bungoma, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nyeri and Machakos. Farmers will now have access to reliable and expert support. Information:
